Heroic in length rather than substance, Giuliani’s one-movement Sonata Eroica is one of only three sonatas he composed. The three Potpourris include operatic arias, folk songs, street songs and Viennese Ländler, all ingeniously linked together in an attractive tapestry of melody and harmony.
