ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO: TUTANKAMAN (VINYL LP)

2 long tracks recorded by the Art Ensemble in Paris during June of 1969. This was a tremendously productive time for the group, and it shows in the tracks "The Ninth Room" and "Tthinitthedalen". They run through a gamut of instruments, a wild range of sounds, yet never manage to lose their focus. Great stuff, with a lot of fire, and none of the weak moments that bogged them down later.
