In the course of his four-decade career, Miles Davis covered a lot of ground, a fact that is everywhere evident on this eight-song sampler. Here are the classics "So What" and "Some Day My Prince Will Come," both with John Coltrane on sax, and "New Rhumba," a swinging dance number with Miles backed by Gil Evans's big band.
