September 26 was George Gershwin's birthday - now you can celebrate with 3 hours of great Gershwin tunes!
This is turning into our "organ" spot - last week we featured Stephen Cleobury. Now we are featuring a genre we don't get much - a CD of contemporary organ music!
Our label Northern Flowers can seem a bit "out there" - a large catalog of recordings dedicated to Eastern European composers, but we highly recommend many of these fine recordings. Try this - Taneyev is a musical god-child of Tchaikovsky, Romantic and passionate - these string quartets won't send you running to shut the CD player off. And there's 5 CDs to choose from and with a 25% discount, you can take a chance and not break the bank.
Two classic Musical Heritage Society CDs - now sold for the price of one!
Our partner store, The Musical Heritage Society is also celebrating Gershwin's birthday with a track off a soon to be reissued jazz classic featuring guitarist Gene Bertoncini and bassist Michael Moore. Gershwin's Prelude No. 2 - arranged for guitar and string bass. Beautiful stuff!
